We skated Kevin Harris' park in British Columbia in mid-June 1988. My buddies mom drove Pat, Andy, and I up from Mill Creek, Wa for a session. Our school year ended and the Candians had a week to go, so the park was empty late morning through mid-day....except for 2 young kids, Stacy Peralta, Lance Mountain, and a video camera. Public Domain would be the new video release months later.. Sluggo and Rich Grassett were there, too--Ryan Monihan, also?. The 2 kids were Danny and Colin. We had no idea who these lil' groms were, but their skating skills were just off the charts. Those ramp transfers they were doing were like nothing we had seen and they were like 10 years old! We knew we were seeing the future of skating right in front of our eyes. Their skills at such a young age were such a sight to behold back in the eighties. ALDEDLY.

I have photos of me and Danny Way skating my backyard vert ramp when we were both 13. Back then Danny was a prodigy, he would land insane stuff on the 2nd or 3rd try. I still remember him jumping from my vert ramp over my shed onto the mini ramp I had on the other side, it was crazy and he did it so fast and on the first try I was just shaking my head in disbelief. The sad thing is though Danny has beat his body to h*ll and with all the surgeries and age, he and i are both 39.

Danny had a few sick tricks on his new ramp at the very end of waiting for lightning, backside flip up, nollie backside flip, I think? Backside 360 up, but you know we haven't seen anything yet, it must all be coming in the Plan B video. I would expect flipping up 20 feet to insane liptricks and tons of really tech stuff on that huge ramp, I can't wait.

Danny Way is the king of the mega ramp and people call mega ramps, sometimes danny mega ramp. Hes is the king of EA skate, Skate 2 and Skate 3 when it comes to vert and mega ramps!

Back then, creativity is what it was all about. Not this corporate America crap that we c today. When I was skating n the 90's, the whole neighborhood would b out with me. But now I can barely find anyone to skate with.
